Animated Video and Class Discussion to BoostLearners’ Grammar
Abstract
The integrated of technology in every field of life nowadays notably in education is an inevitable options otherwise grow massively. Animated video as one of teaching media applied in this inquiry aim to assist learners in learning grammar, especially the eight part of speech, such as nouns, pronouns, verbs, etc. Also the class discussion after the animated displayed. The ignorance of using the eight parts of speech precisely become the obstacles in English learning process. Learning grammar becomes simply, communicative and attractive in real content through the group project of animated video creation. Learners of STMIK Pontianak system information program are the participants in this inquiry, they are grouped into several small groups of group project task. Action class research is the research design performed as the practitioners responsibility to overcome the problems encountered by learners while learning. Itis done through some cycles performed. Fieldnotes and tests are the sources of data collection. Then multiple regression 3 variables of SPSS ver. 25 to figure out the comparison of the scores achieved for each cycle. This research found out that group project of animated video and class discussion are indeed significantly arouse learners’ interest and engagement in learning
