Correction and Retraction

CCIT Journal maintains the integrity of the published record. When errors or serious problems are found in a published article, the journal acts through one of the measures below.

Correction (Erratum) is published when an error does not affect the validity of the findings, for example a mistake in author names, affiliations, figures, or references. The correction is published as a notice linked to the original article, and the original article is updated with a note pointing to the notice.

Expression of Concern may be issued while an investigation is in progress and the reliability of an article is in question. It is replaced by a correction, a retraction, or a statement of resolution when the investigation ends.

Retraction is considered when:

  • findings are unreliable because of serious error or misconduct (fabrication, falsification);
  • the work is plagiarized or has been published elsewhere without proper justification or permission;
  • the work includes unethical research or an authorship dispute that cannot be resolved;
  • there is a major undisclosed conflict of interest that affects interpretation.

How retractions are handled

  • A retraction notice is published, stating the reason and who requested the retraction.
  • The retracted article remains accessible, but is clearly marked “Retracted” on its page and in the PDF.
  • Indexing services are informed where relevant.

Requests

Authors, readers, or institutions can request a correction or retraction by emailing [email protected]. Authors who wish to withdraw their own article after publication must inform the editor and give reasons. The editors decide on the case and respond within [ISI: e.g. 30] days.
