Peer Review Process

Journal CERITA (Creative Education of Research in Information Technology and Artificial Informatics) implements a rigorous and independent peer-review system to ensure the scientific quality, originality, and relevance of all published articles.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a Double-Blind Peer Review process. This means that the reviewers' identities are concealed from the authors, and the authors' identities are concealed from the reviewers throughout the entire review cycle.

Step-by-Step Review Policy

    • 1. Initial Screening

Every submitted manuscript is first checked by the Managing Editor. This initial assessment includes:

      • Scope Fit: Verification of whether the manuscript's topic aligns with the focus of Journal CERITA (Information Technology & Artificial Informatics).
      • Template Compliance: Checking if the writing strictly follows the Author Guidelines and the journal's house style.
      • Plagiarism Check: Every manuscript must undergo a similarity scan using Turnitin. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 20% will be immediately rejected or returned to the author for revision.
  • 2. Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least 2 (two) competent Reviewers who have a proven publication track record aligned with the manuscript's topic. Reviewers are typically given 2 to 4 weeks to complete their evaluation. They assess the substance of the research, including its novelty, methodology, data analysis, and the validity of the conclusions.

  • 3. Editorial Decision

Based on the written recommendations and comments from the reviewers, the Editor will make one of the following decisions:

    • Accept Submission: The manuscript is accepted for publication without any changes.
    • Revisions Required: The manuscript requires minor or major revisions based on the reviewers' feedback before it can be accepted.
    • Resubmit for Review: The manuscript requires fundamental restructuring and must go through a new round of the review process after being revised.
    • Decline Submission: The manuscript is rejected due to fundamental flaws in the methodology or a lack of sufficient scientific contribution.
  • 4. Final Production

Manuscripts with an "Accepted" status will proceed to the copyediting phase, layout proofreading, and assignment of an active DOI number from Crossref, before being scheduled for publication in the upcoming volume.
