Journal CERITA focuses on scientific research and technological development in Information Technology, Information Systems, Informatics, Software Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence. The journal prioritizes research presenting measurable technical and/or empirical contributions through the development, implementation, testing, evaluation, optimization, or application of computational methods and information technologies.

CERITA does not prioritize manuscripts whose primary contribution is in communication, management, marketing, economics, social sciences, education, or other non-computing disciplines without a substantive contribution to Information Technology, Information Systems, Informatics, Software Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence.
