Manuscript Type
Journal CERITA (Creative Education of Research in Information Technology and Artificial Informatics) welcomes submissions of high-quality manuscripts that contribute significantly to the fields of information technology, computer science, and artificial intelligence. The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:
1. Original Research Articles
Original Research Articles are full-length, comprehensive reports of empirical investigations or theoretical studies that present novel findings, methodologies, or systems. These articles must provide a substantial contribution to the existing body of knowledge.
- Word Count: Typically between 4,000 and 7,000 words (excluding references, tables, and figure captions).
- Structure: Must strictly follow the standard structure: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Research Methodology, Results and Findings, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments (optional), and References.
- Novelty: A clear scientific contribution and novelty (original value) must be explicitly stated in the Introduction and Discussion sections.
2. Review Articles
Review Articles provide a critical, comprehensive, and up-to-date evaluation of existing research and literature within a specific topic relevant to the journal’s scope. Rather than reporting new empirical data, a review article synthesizes previous studies to identify research gaps, emerging trends, and future directions.
- Word Count: Typically between 5,000 and 9,000 words (excluding references).
- Structure: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Literature Search Methodology (e.g., PRISMA framework for Systematic Literature Reviews), Thematic Subheadings (body of the review), Synthesis/Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
- Expectation: High priority is given to Systematic Literature Reviews (SLR) or Meta-Analyses that present critical analytical frameworks rather than simple summaries.
3. Short Communications / Technical Notes
Short Communications are concise, rapid-publication manuscripts that report significant, preliminary, or time-sensitive research findings, groundbreaking technical developments, or innovative software/system tools. This format is ideal for fast-evolving topics in artificial intelligence and informatics.
- Word Count: Maximum of 3,000 words (excluding references and tables).
- Structure: More flexible but must include a brief Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Brief Discussion, and References. The Results and Discussion sections may be combined.
- Limit: Restricted to a maximum of 3–4 tables or figures in total.
General Submission Notes
- All manuscripts submitted to Journal CERITA must be written in clear, concise English or Indonesian (according to the journal's active language policy).
- Every submission must adhere strictly to the **Journal CERITA Author Guidelines and Word Template**.
- Manuscripts that do not align with any of these approved manuscript types or fall outside the journal's scope will be rejected during the initial screening phase.
