Abstract

The financial recording process, which is still carried out semi-manually using Microsoft Excel, is prone to recording errors, data duplication, and delays in financial report preparation. These issues hinder the provision of timely and accurate financial information at PT. Sinergi Milenial Indonesia, highlighting the need for a system capable of automating financial data management. This study aims to design and implement a Microsoft Excel-based financial recording system by integrating Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and Pivot Table. The study employed an applied experimental approach involving data collection through observation, interviews, and literature review, followed by system requirements analysis using the SWOT method, system design, implementation, and testing through Black Box Testing. The results indicate that VBA successfully automates data validation, transaction storage, and financial data management, while Pivot
Table provides dynamic data summarization and financial reporting. Testing of all major system features demonstrated that the system functions in accordance with user requirements. The implemented system provides a more structured financial recording and reporting process, minimizes the risk of human error, and facilitates information presentation through dashboards and financial reports. Therefore, the integration of VBA and Pivot Table offers an effective solution for improving the quality of financial data management and supporting faster and more accurate decision-making within the company.
