Abstract

Various MSME sectors in Indonesia, including small and medium enterprises, have felt a significant impact from the rapid development of information technology in the digital era. Toko Bintang has been operating for more than five years. This shop is located in Temulus Village, RT.01 Rw.05, Mejobo District, Kudus, Central Java. This shop functions as a minimarket that sells various daily necessities and has a wide market because products such as basic necessities and household necessities are always needed by the community. Even though it has been developing for quite a long time, Toko Bintang still relies on manual methods for recording transactions, stock management and financial reports. Using books for recording has proven to be less efficient, prone to errors and data loss.  In designing this application, the Waterfall methodology was used to ensure that each development stage was carried out systematically and structured. The point of sales (POS) application will be developed using PHP with the Laravel framework, Bootstrap, MySQL, Tailwind CSS, and Vite. The main aim of creating this application is to increase operational efficiency, automate recording and reporting, reduce the risk of data loss or damage which often occurs with manual methods in stores, and make it easier to manage payments via Midtrans for convenient transactions.
