Revenue Sources, Advertising, and Marketing Policies
1. Revenue Sources
Jurnal Manajemen Retail Indonesia (JMARI) is committed to managing its revenue sources transparently and accountably, in accordance with the principles of academic integrity and publication ethics.
Where applicable, the journal's revenue may come from Article Processing Charges (APCs), and institutional support.
All funding sources are managed responsibly and must not compromise editorial independence, the objectivity of the peer-review process, decisions to accept or reject manuscripts, or the integrity of published research.
Information about publication fees, where applicable, is clearly disclosed to authors through the journal's official website. No hidden fees are charged to authors. Payment of publication fees does not guarantee acceptance, as every manuscript must meet the journal's academic quality standards and undergo the applicable editorial evaluation process.
JMARI strives to ensure that its financial management does not create conflicts of interest and that financial considerations never take precedence over the quality, credibility, and integrity of scholarly publishing.
2. Advertising Policy
JMARI maintains an advertising policy designed to preserve editorial independence and the journal's credibility as a scholarly publication.
If the journal accepts or displays advertisements, such advertisements must be relevant to academic activities, research, education, scholarly publishing, or professional activities consistent with the journal's scope. Advertisements must be clearly distinguishable from scholarly content, including research articles, review articles, and other editorial materials.
Editorial decisions, including manuscript selection, reviewer assignment, peer-review outcomes, and publication decisions, must not be influenced by the presence, absence, or commercial value of any advertisement.
JMARI does not accept advertisements that are misleading, contain unsubstantiated claims, violate applicable laws, or potentially undermine the journal's reputation and academic integrity. Advertisers are not permitted to influence article content, the peer-review process, or editorial decisions.
Advertising arrangements and placements, where applicable, are managed transparently and separately from editorial activities. JMARI reserves the right to reject or discontinue advertisements that do not comply with this policy.
3. Marketing Policy
JMARI conducts its marketing and promotional activities ethically, professionally, transparently, and responsibly to increase the journal's visibility, expand its readership, and encourage scholarly contributions in retail management and related fields.
Marketing activities may include disseminating information through the journal's official website, social media, email communications, academic networks, scholarly conferences, and partnerships with educational and research institutions.
All promotional materials must be accurate, verifiable, and non-misleading. JMARI will not make unsupported claims regarding its reputation, indexing status, impact factor, ranking, manuscript acceptance rate, or recognition by any particular organization.
Invitations to authors, peer reviewers, and academic partners must be conducted professionally and must not involve pressure, promises of manuscript acceptance, or incentives that could compromise the objectivity of scholarly publishing.
Marketing activities and commercial partnerships must not influence editorial processes, peer-review standards, or publication decisions. Author and reader information will only be used for legitimate purposes, in accordance with the journal's privacy policy and applicable data protection requirements.
JMARI may periodically evaluate its marketing activities to ensure their effectiveness, transparency, and alignment with the journal's academic mission.
4. Commitment to Editorial Independence
JMARI affirms that all editorial decisions are based on scholarly quality, relevance to the journal's focus and scope, originality, contributions to the advancement of knowledge, and the outcomes of the peer-review process.
Revenue sources, advertising, sponsorships, and marketing activities do not confer preferential treatment in editorial processes or guarantee publication. Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed and appropriately managed to protect the journal's independence, objectivity, and credibility.
