Withdrawal of Manuscript

Jurnal Manajemen Retail Indonesia (JMARI) is committed to maintaining academic integrity, transparency in the editorial process, and ethical scholarly publishing practices. Authors are therefore expected to carefully consider their submissions before submitting manuscripts for publication in JMARI.

The manuscript withdrawal policy is as follows:

1. Formal Withdrawal Request

Authors wishing to withdraw their manuscripts must submit a written request to the JMARI editorial office through the journal's official email address or available journal management system. The request must provide a clear justification and be signed or confirmed by all authors.

2. Acceptable Grounds for Withdrawal

A withdrawal request may be considered when justified by legitimate reasons, including substantial errors in the manuscript, research ethics concerns, authorship disputes, copyright issues, or other circumstances that objectively warrant withdrawal.

3. Prohibition of Simultaneous Submission

While a manuscript remains under review or editorial consideration at JMARI, authors must not submit the same manuscript to another journal without first receiving confirmation of withdrawal from the JMARI editor.

4. Withdrawal Without Valid Justification

Withdrawal without a justifiable reason, particularly after the peer-review process has commenced, is discouraged because it may result in unnecessary expenditure of editorial and reviewer time and resources.

5. Withdrawal After Acceptance

Withdrawal requests submitted after a manuscript has been accepted for publication will be evaluated individually by the editor, taking into account the stated reasons, the stage of production, and applicable publication ethics principles.

6. Withdrawal After Publication

Published articles cannot be withdrawn through the ordinary manuscript withdrawal procedure. If serious errors, ethical violations, or other issues affecting the integrity of an article are identified, JMARI will address the matter through an appropriate correction, retraction, or other editorial action.

7. Consequences of Policy Violations

If authors withdraw a manuscript without following the established procedure or engage in simultaneous submission, JMARI reserves the right to take proportionate editorial action, including suspending the processing of subsequent submissions from the authors concerned, in accordance with the journal's policies.

8. Withdrawal Confirmation

A manuscript withdrawal is considered official only after the author has received written confirmation from the JMARI editor. Until such confirmation is issued, the manuscript remains under the journal's editorial process.

JMARI reserves the right to assess each withdrawal request in accordance with professional judgment, transparency, fairness, and the principles of publication ethics.
